Why and what is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is the ancient art of arranging your environment, home, office (or whatever space you spend time in) to promote a balanced flow of energy that benefits health, wealth, and harmony.

It uses the principles of Taoist wisdom, Chinese geomancy, and quantum physics to create an aligned, cohesive, and energetic space for you and your loved ones.

For millenia the Taoist masters knew that all things are energy and they were able to understand natures energy patterns: its cycles, movement and interaction. This is what Feng Shui is founded upon.

The space around us doesn't just sit there passively. It reaches into us, down to a cellular level. When that energy is out of balance, we feel it — through illness, a sense of being scattered, or a run of things going wrong that's hard to explain.

How can you work with traditional Feng Shui?

My practice draws on two traditional Feng Shui schools: Compass School and Flying Stars School.

The Compass School looks at how the energy of a space shapes the emotional life of the people in it. The Flying Stars method goes further — addressing accident prevention, the ability to earn and hold onto money, and the quality of relationships and health for everyone living or working there.

Together, they give a fuller picture: how a space affects both how you feel and how your life actually unfolds within it.

How Consultations Work

Consultations are face-to-face* or online via Zoom. All you need is a smartphone so we can communicate with video.
*For in-person visits, travel costs may be included in your package depending on location.

There are four basic types of services:

Projects for existing homes & workspaces. Many people come to Feng Shui because they want to improve the energy of the home or workplace they already have. By analysing how energy flows through your space, I identify areas that can be brought into better balance. Using the Five Elements system, I recommend energetic cures, colours, materials, decorative features, and other Feng Shui adjustments that support harmony and wellbeing in different areas of your life. In most cases, these improvements can be made without the need for renovations.
Projects for existing buildings prior to a renovation. If you're planning to renovate your home or workplace, it's an ideal opportunity to create a space that better supports your wellbeing and the way you want to live. I analyse your building's current layout and energy, then provide Feng Shui recommendations to guide the renovation. By considering the flow of energy before construction begins, the changes can be designed to encourage greater balance, harmony, and a more supportive environment for years to come.
Projects for those who have a plot of land and want to build. Before you build, you have a unique opportunity to design a home that works in harmony with you from the very beginning. By integrating Traditional Feng Shui principles into the planning stage, your property can be designed to support health, prosperity, harmonious relationships, and long-term success. Every significant element is carefully considered, including the orientation and placement of the front entrance, bedrooms, kitchen, living areas, home office, and other key spaces. Hello, there! I'm Claudia

In 1997 I became a student of Master Wu Jyh Cherng, founder of the Taoist Society of Brazil. Over the years that followed he taught me the classical techniques — Ba Zhai, Xuan Kong Fei Xing, Da Gua, and Qian Kun Guo Bao — the same body of knowledge that has been passed from teacher to student for centuries.

I took on my first clients in 1999. Three years later, my master invited me to teach at the Society, training people who wanted to make this their profession. In 2004, I was ordained as a Taoist priest — less a change of direction than an acknowledgment of one. Taoist wisdom isn't something I apply to my work. It's how I understand the world, and everything I do sits on top of it.

For years, I've continued to study the I Ching, the ancient Book of Changes. Its insights into impermanence, natural cycles, and the laws that govern life have profoundly shaped the way I perceive the environment around me. Combined with the practice of meditation and Qi Gong —which cultivate a direct awareness of how energy moves, gathers, and becomes blocked—this has deepened my ability to read the energetic qualities of a home or workplace.

Twenty-five years on, having worked with clients in Brazil, Australia, the US, the UK, Portugal, the Netherlands, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Italy, what I enjoy most is watching that same steadiness arrive in someone else's life — usually in ways they weren't expecting.

My partner didn't believe a word of it. These days he's the one reminding me when a cure needs refreshing.

I remember that Claudia said that the pantry was one of the places with the most complicated energy, because it was not well located. And, really, I had a lot of problems with waiters. We were always changing employees. After a while, we decided to move the pantry and the problem was gone. Another interesting fact is that the place where the pot is located, where all the rice for the restaurant is cooked, is in an area, according to the Claudia's analysis, which favors prosperity and, as this pot in particular is always boiling, it ends up stimulating this favorable energy contributing to the good fortune of the restaurant. In addition, I always try to use the right colors and leave my space well harmonized. Sometimes, I feel that people arrive very stressed with work load and, when they enter here, with the help of the harmony that Feng Shui has brought to the environment, they relax.

Since the Feng Shui there has been a huge change in several sectors of my business. In particular, I refer to the relationship between employees and its expansion. I remember that during the analysis of the project there was a forecast of growth from 2004 onwards. With the guidelines we have reeived from Claudia, we have not missed any opportunity to enhance this wave of gain, and the result was surprising. In the last three years, the bar is considered as the best bar in Orla (Rio de Janeiro seaside). The restaurant is mentioned in all gastronomy magazines. In recent years, we have received several awards. I mean, I think that all of this is due, not only to work and dedication, to day-to-day life, but also to something that is behind all of this, which we do not know how to explain properly, and, if we could measure it perfectly, in the end we would find much of the influence of Feng Shui. Four years ago we had eight employees, today we have thirty-five. What we did have was a significant increase in clientele. First, I was using a specific area of my property to stock products. After talking to Claudia, I understood it was a noble area of the restaurant, both physically and energetic, that was being wasted. Then, this area became part of the restaurant. We also kept a close eye on all the items that referred to the balance of the Five Elements. For example: in the kitchen, it was necessary to place some copper plates inside the wall (metal element), and we did it. There was a tap tha was next to the cash register. This proximity, according to Feng Shui knowledge, could lead to losses of money. Se, we took the tap out of that place. Other things were made, such as changes of the colors of some walls. We found it easy to implement these changes because when we were planning a general overhaul we contacted Claudia to assist with the change. Second: the problem with employee turnover, which used to be big, practically stopped. Since then, it hasn´t happened much. There is a greater integration of the group and our relationship improved. Another thing I noticed is that the level of my clientele is also higher. The volume of customers has increased and the quality of people has also improved. What I mean is that the condition of my restaurant has progressed and the clietele has somehow noticed and followed. And, for this reason, I attribute much of the success achieved in recent years to the Feng Shui project.
